From the outside, louvre roofs can look identical. The difference is hidden inside the structure. Many louvre systems use cast aluminium corner brackets and fittings.

Cast aluminium is a known weak point, especially in coastal and high-moisture environments. Some systems also hide internal steel brackets at corners, foot connections, and fascia joints.
