Building & Other Consents
A building, resource or other consent may be required for the work. While we will endeavour to provide correct advice regarding the need for a building or other consent, as the property owner, it is your responsibility to determine if a council consent is required for the work. If you proceed with the work covered by this contract without obtaining the relevant consent then you agree not to make any future claims against The Outdoor Room Company Ltd for any costs, losses or damages that may result.
Unless otherwise stated, our quotes do not include:
Dirt, Cobbles & Pavers
Where posts will be set into concrete footings, the dirt from the holes will be left on site unless otherwise arranged. Where there are paving stones or cobbles to be removed, we will remove these with due care, but cannot be liable for any damage that occurs in removing these. Once the post is installed, we may either leave out any paving material that can’t be replaced due to conflict with the post, or fill areas that cannot be replaced with concrete or plaster, after discussions with you.
Our roofs are fabricated using waterproof materials. However, it is to be expected that there may be small gaps between the roof and any adjacent existing building or other surfaces the roof is positioned next to. We will endeavor to ensure that any gaps are reduced to a minimum in order to keep your covered outdoor area as dry as possible.
Where required, we will install outdoor H3 grade 90x50 timber for attaching the roof to your building. This will be painted to suit. If you would like the timber to be another colour, you will need to supply us with the paint, at least two weeks prior to installation.
