Can’t speak highly enough of our journey with TORC. We chose a roof for purpose as we are very much coastal and one that blended in with our desire to make the roof a feature of both summer and winter seasons. I was totally 100% impressed with the service from the absolute start. Great Communication. Listening to my ideas and then expanding on and adding suggestions. The on-site team were friendly and I felt more than comfortable leaving my home open to them ( for toilet and cold waterin fridge ) while I left them and I went to work. They left my property clean and tidy during and on completion. They moved my furniture back onto my Deck so when I got home from work all I needed to do was pour a nice Vino and enjoy Just waiting for our blinds to arrive. They need to be exact within millimeters for perfect fit! I’ll post again when they are fitted I’m more than happy and will definitely be recommending The Outdoor Room . Thank you everyone involved

Hi, I was really pleased with my roof but a month after installation, we had persistent rain and I discovered it leaks. While I'm not over-concerned about this, I am not pleased that my emails and phone calls have been ignored. Poor after service. My huge apologies, Dan and Damon. I wasn't aware Brent had left and so my messages weren't being received. Thank you for your call and I look forward to seeing you on Thursday. By the way, it really is only a drip and doesn't stop me loving my new outdoor space. I was thinking of deleting my first review but actually thought it was better to leave it and show how quickly everything has been rectified.

We love our new shady outside area. Right from the start these guys were great to work with. When it came to installation Ashley, Adam and Vin didn't muck around, they were focussed on the job and pleasant to have around my home. The metal and opaque panels work well giving the needed shade but light into the area also. A great product.

I love my outdoor flat roof! It provides shelter from rain and UV while letting plenty of light through. No need to put up an umbrella under the roof like I see my friends needing to do with their glass roofs. The install team did a superb job, taking care to get it set up right. We needed a couple of follow up visits and they were equally handled efficiently (special mention of Ashley for the organising and Adam for executing the follow up jobs!).

I've just had a Flat Roof installed over my deck on an old state house in Hamilton.The final result is outstanding. I had a few quotes from other companies but it was the design and look of their flat roof that suited the age of the house. Modern connected with old. So far so good! We’re through the first stage of the project with the roof now installed, on time and on budget. Next stage is the delivery and installation of the mesh walls. At this stage, we cannot speak highly enough of The Outdoor Room Company team. The communication has been great and everyone we’ve come into contact with, both on-site and on the other end of the phone, has been a real pleasiure to deal with. The team is very thorough, but not too technical for a visual person like me. Daniel visited us on-site to talk us through the best options and design for our space so it was easy to visualise and make decisions. The on-site installation team (Steve, Richard and Mike) worked efficiently - really professional, with a good sense of humour thrown in. The roof installation was over two days, real perfectionists and very tidy. Already the roof has made a huge difference to our outdoor living space. No more getting wet when trying to barbecue and a nice sheltered seating area to enjoy after-work cocktails. The outdoor roof looks like part of the house structure, it integrates well as if it’s always been there. Thanks guys! We’re looking forward to the next stage.

I moved into a new house in the Naki in May of last year. The house had a massive deck out the back. Come summer, when the sun started to shine on the deck, the deck was hot and unusable from about 12 to sundown. The deck also had a wide open feel to it and was not very cozy or comfortable. I decided to put up a louvre system and went to market to find a supplier. As a result of my research and subsequent evaluation of companies (which included price) I selected the team at the Outdoor Room Company. Their pricing was slightly lower than competitors but I thought their design was better. Whew!! Having said all that, let's talk about the project. The project to install went very, very well. In the time of shortages introduced by COVID, the Outdoor Room Company (ORC) delivered in the time frames promised. Most of the time spent was waiting on the components (which came from ORC's supplier) as you would expect in COVID times. However, the lead times ORC gave were pretty much spot on. Once the components were delivered, ORC was quick and efficient in their installation. The result - A BEAUTIFUL Louvre system with a white roof and black posts and frames - complete with blinds. We couldn't be happier. The system has totally transformed our deck from an unusable space into an outdoor living area that we now use morning, noon and night. It's fantastic. It looks great and it's highly functional. The system is in a spot that gets punished by wind and rain frequently. The louvre system closes by itself should rain unexpectedly arrive. There's no problem at all with the rain as the built in guttering channels it away. The blinds can withstand wind up to about 50kph and he have them down quite a lot. We are really surprised how much rain and wind the blinds keep out. We have an infrared heater out there which helps it be cozy and we used the room all winter. Finally, the room sits in a position that can be viewed by a lot of people on foot. I have had knocks on the door asking all about the system and I love the compliments we get as well. It has transformed the house and I'm sure, has added value beyond the cost to the system. I highly recommend the ORC team. They are responsive, communicative, professional, good at installation and just plain a great bunch of people to deal with. I would use them again - perhaps at the next house!!! I should have done it in my last house, but now I know!!!

Renew School Whangarei approached The Outdoor Room Company to construct a covered walkway between the main classroom block and the Library. Because of a difference in levels between the two buildings this was a little more complicated than a normal roof; however Dan, Ben and his team did a very professional job and completed the project in the allotted timeframe. We were very impressed with the quality of their product and standard of workmanship.

Joshua and Dan from the Whangarei branch were a pleasure to work with. We had ZipTrak mesh blinds installed in our carport area to replace cheap tarps. Wow, what a big difference! Really impressed with their level of service, their excellent communication, prompt quoting and follow up - and ultimately knowing when install was going to occur. We felt like we were never forgotten about and overall, we have got what we wanted, these blinds have made the world of difference. Very happy and will definitely approach again when we are looking into louvre roof options for a new decking area we'll be building off our relocatable home one day. :)

Outstanding product! After doing a lot of "homework" on outdoor pergola systems, we decided to go with The Outdoor Room Company due to the quality of their roofs. We picked the "Allure" roof for its solidness (we are on top of a hill and get a lot of strong wind) and architectural look. It has enhanced our outdoor living space 100%, we get so many compliments! The installers Ben and Ritchie were a great to have working onsite, non intrusive but friendly and very professional and took immense pride in their workmanship.

Came up with an excellent design for a difficult roof on a deck on a two storey house. The finished product more than met expectations and the standard of work was outstanding. Site was left in a very clean condition.

Great service ,had there outdoor room installed about 3 years approx ,called for advice to fix a small leak and they sent someone to check it an give me advice for the future and fixed for me.

We had looked at lots of different options for this space before we decided to go with the Outdoor Room Company. We wanted a solution that gave us a classy looking, permanent roof structure which retained internal light inside our house. Blending an old style house with a modern structure was a risk, but we are thrilled with the result. The Outdoor Room Company have been wonderful to deal with from start to finish. They are responsive, knowledgeable, had attention to detail, considerate, went the extra mile, left the site very tidy, and were patient with our dogs that found tradies onsite a bit too exciting! They’ve created 2 extra living spaces we can now use that we never utilised before, and both roofs have lowered the stifling summer heat in our house much to our relief, without blocking the natural light. We are extremely pleased with the roof design & installation that The Outdoor Room Company have done for us over our existing deck. It has pretty much given us an additional room in the house, the kids play outside on the deck in the heat of summer or in the pouring rain. We have just had our stunning Outdoor Room completed by the Outdoor Room Whangarei. I do not know where to start on recommending this company. From the first communication with Alex, onto planning with Dan and Tim, to the actual construction by Dan, Steve, Ben and Rocky, the process and product was fantastic. We now spend many hours in a space that we could only use on some days, weather dependant. We installed the electric louvre roof system with rain sensors and added the zip track blinds on 3 sides to make a fabulous space. We cannot recommend this Company highly enough. Many thanks guys. My wife and I had been looking for a roof over our decking for a long, long time. We had looked at the Outdoor Roofing Company and when we saw that they were at the Taranaki Home Show it was a chance to see and talk with the people in charge. They came promptly and gave us a quote - which we thought was a great price. The roof is 4.5m x 5.6m - anchored on 2 sides by the house and with 1 pole. Installation was prompt and I am more than pleased in how they have made the guttering look very professional and how it is plumbed in with the existing downpipe - amazing. Absolutely love how the louvre has transformed our outside area.
