Enduro Living Louvre Roof
Your outdoor area should be usable all year—not just on perfect days. The Enduro Living Louvre Roof gives you full control of your environment, letting you enjoy your patio or deck in sun, shade, wind, or rain.
10 Reasons Why We Recommend The Enduro Living Louvre
We are often asked on site "what would you do, if this was your home?".
Here are the top reasons why I decided to install the Enduro Living Louvre, Enduro Living Glass Sliders and the ArchiLuxe Louvre Wall on my own home.
- Tim Dow, owner of The Outdoor Room Company
The Enduro Living Louvre is the result of years of real-world learning. Many louvre systems look good on paper but reveal weaknesses over time — especially in New Zealand conditions.
This system has been engineered to eliminate common failure points while delivering superior aesthetics, drainage, and compatibility with other outdoor living elements.
Many louvre systems (and outdoor blinds) use cast aluminium corner brackets and fittings, which are prone to corrosion over time. This is a known weak point in coastal and high-moisture environments.
The Enduro Living Louvre uses non-cast aluminium components throughout, significantly reducing the risk of corrosion and extending the lifespan of the structure.
Some louvre systems place motors:
- Directly in the gutter (high risk of water exposure)
- Above the blades, unnecessarily exposed to weather
The Enduro Living design protects the motor from water without compromising performance. This is a design decision that prevents long-term issues.
Some louvre roofs use internal steel brackets (often hidden) in areas like:
- Corner brackets
- Foot brackets
- Fascia connections
Steel introduces corrosion risk over time. The Enduro Living Louvre uses aluminium for all structural and internal components, ensuring consistency, durability, and resistance to New Zealand’s climate.
The Enduro Living Louvre offers 11 standard powder-coated colours, more than most competing systems — without the need for expensive custom powder-coating.
This allows your louvre roof to integrate seamlessly with your home and other outdoor elements while keeping costs predictable.
The Enduro Living Louvre is designed with fall built into the blades — not the structure.
Many louvre systems require the entire structure to be tilted to achieve drainage. This can cause:
- Water spilling when blades are opened
- Awkward integration with outdoor blinds or walls
With Enduro Living, the structure remains level while the blades manage drainage efficiently — resulting in better water control and cleaner integration with accessories.
The Enduro Living Louvre is part of a fully integrated system that includes:
- Outdoor blinds
- Bi-fold, sliding, and fixed aluminium shutters or glass (doing this at my house)
- ArchiLuxe louvre walls (also being done at my house)
This ensures your outdoor room can evolve over time without compromises.
The Enduro Living Louvre offers advanced LED lighting options, including:
- LED lights integrated into the louvre blades
- Perimeter gutter lighting
- Double-sided mid-beam lighting for larger or double-bank louvres
For example, two 6×4m blade banks can be engineered as a single 8×6m structure with a central beam designed to support lighting and blades on both sides — creating a seamless, premium finish.
Every Enduro Living Louvre is machine-made to measure.
All components are:
- Precision fabricated
- Pre-drilled
- Matched exactly to your design
This results in a sharper, more accurate finish.
The Enduro Living Louvre uses a purpose-designed eaves bracket with an integrated flashing system to create a seamless connection to the home.
All fixings and fascia brackets are concealed behind powder-coated aluminium flashing, resulting in a clean, flush finish that blends naturally with existing eaves and rooflines, and hides any visible fixings.
The outcome is a louvre roof that looks like a true extension of the home — not an add-on — while providing long-term weather protection and refined aesthetics.
